What This Grade Calculator Does
Enter the points earned and the total points to get the score as a percentage and a letter grade. Switch modes to find how many marks you need for a target percentage.
How It Works
score % = (points earned / total points) x 100
marks needed = total points x (target % / 100)
The letter grade uses the common scale below.
Letter Grade Scale
| Percentage | Grade |
|---|---|
| 90% and up | A |
| 80–89% | B |
| 70–79% | C |
| 60–69% | D |
| below 60% | F |
How to Use It
- Choose test score to grade or marks needed for a target.
- Enter the points (and the target percentage in the second mode).
- Read the percentage and grade, or the marks needed.
