Time!
Number bonds are the pairs that add up to a round number - 7 and 3 make 10, 60 and 40 make 100. Knowing them by heart makes mental addition and subtraction much faster. This game flashes a number and asks for its partner, and counts how many you complete in a minute.
How to Play
- Choose the target to make - 10, 20, 50, or 100.
- Press Start. A number appears; type the number that adds to the target and press Enter.
- Keep going for 60 seconds. Your best score for each target is saved on your device.
Why Bonds Matter
Strong number bonds are the building block for fast addition, subtraction, and making change. Bonds to 10 come first, then 20 and 100 build on the same idea.
