When an expression mixes operations, the answer depends on doing them in the right order: parentheses first, then multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction (often remembered as PEMDAS or BODMAS). Get the order wrong and $2 + 3 \times 4$ becomes 20 instead of the correct 14.

This generator builds a fresh worksheet of these expressions with an answer key worked out in the correct order. Choose easier problems (no parentheses, so the skill is just multiply-before-add), harder ones with parentheses, or a mixed set. Every answer is a whole number that is never negative.
